Biography

Michele A. Williams, PhD, is Senior UX Researcher - Accessibility for Pearson's Higher Education Division. Sparked by exposure to accessibility during her Software Engineering Master's program, Michele more formally learned to apply laws and standards such as WCAG while working as an Accessibility Analyst, then later learned to apply User-Centered Design principles towards creating accessible technology while completing a Human-Centered Computing (or HCI) doctorate. Her UX research with participants with disabilities is primarily found in the ACM Digital Library, and she guest lectures on accessibility and usability topics at universities, research labs, and accessibility community meetings throughout the US and abroad.
